Since its opening in 2003, Galerie Alex Daniels - Reflex Amsterdam has represented both young contemporary artists and more established artists focused on painting and photography. The gallery produces limited editions and other publications in close collaboration with artists, under the name of Reflex Editions Amsterdam. The museum also has a Miniature Museum, a collection of more than 1700 miniature works of art by more than 700 artists including internationally renowned Damien Hirst, Yves Klein, Roy Lichtenstein and Sol LeWitt, and Dutch names including Karel Appel, Erwin Olaf and Inez van Lamsweerde.
In addition, the gallery will launch of a 250-page monograph, published by the gallery in conjunction with the exhibition, featuring a mix of new and iconic images, with essays by Matthias Harder (Helmut Newton Foundation, Berlin) and Eric Kessels (KesselsKramer, Amsterdam). Daido Moriyama will be present at the opening of the exhibition to sign his new book. The event will take place on Saturday, May 19th 2012 between 5 and 7 pm.
