Flowers Gallery

Angela Flowers Gallery opened in 1970 with the aim of providing a platform for British talent in the contemporary art world. Forty years on, the gallery now represents more than forty artists working in a range of media, across a variety of international locations. Photography has constituted a central part of the work exhibited at Flowers since its inception. In the last two decades, Flowers has extended its involvement with artists working in photography, representing the likes of Edward Burtynsky, whose large-scale environmental photographs strike an intricate balance between documentary and powerfully seductive aesthetics; Robert Polidori, author of epic bodies of work capturing grandeur and decay in Havana, Versailles, Chernobyl and a post-Katrina New Orleans; and Nadav Kander, a world-renowned UK-based photographer and winner of the 2010 Prix Pictet.
