Unseen, the international photography fair and festival focused on new photography takes place at Amsterdam’s Westergasfabriek. With 54 international galleries, Unseen Photo Fair highlights the most recent developments in contemporary photography by presenting emerging talent and unseen work by established artists. The on-site festival programme is a place for the exchange of dialogue, artistic expression and ideas, and includes lectures and debates, and a book market.
New to 2015 was the Unseen Festival, a 10-day celebration of photography in the city centre. This year, Unseen brought together many of the city’s institutions, galleries, artists and initiatives using photography in unexpected, innovative and provocative ways through a challenging and exciting programme.
Unseen was founded by Foam Fotografiemuseum Amsterdam, office for cultural business development Platform A, and Creative Agency Vandejong.
Foam enables people from all over the world to experience and enjoy photography, whether at the museum in Amsterdam, on the website, via the internationally distributed Foam Magazine or in the print sales room of Foam Editions. Foam focuses especially on exhibitions, publications, discussions and specific projects relevant to contemporary themes in the field of photography, with an emphasis on upcoming artists.
Platform A is an office for business development in the arts, specialised in cultural events.
Vandejong is a creative agency based in Amsterdam. Vandejong develops new formats for an ever-changing world.
